Where do we begin with such an outstanding hotel and joint pub...this place is simply superb, the location 10/10, every member of staff from checking in, through room service to the pub staff and superb chefs at both breakfast and evening meals 10/10.. The Londoner has truly excelled in all of our expectations, the room was tastefully decorated, with a decent sized safe and fridge with a perfect en suite bathroom, room service daily, extra large super comfy double bed, brilliant, coupled with a perfect view, simply wow..we mentioned being light sleepers if there would be a suitable room, with that, in a flash we were given top floor facing the city view...superb..we move back onto the Pub..the meals were unbelievably tasty, Arif Khan is one lovely guy and brilliant chef...every member of staff we came across were kind, polite, full of exceptional People's Skills and always accommodating to our requests...it would be very wrong not to give a three cheers to staff as follows: Jose and the lovely lady at the main desk...also Saroj, Salmela Mokta, Arif Khan, Kartik, Indra Tamang, Manisan, Rodette, and any other member of staff during our stay...this place would get a 20 out of 10 if such a rating was possible. We will be back.

Where do I start. We booked 3 nights with breakfast, normal room. On arrival, the entrance to the hotel is next to the hotel bar, can get really noisy which I'll come to in a minute. When you go straight into the hotel reception, the door closes, and you don't hear any noise from the bar. The girl on reception, Antoinella was incredibly friendly and helpfull. We asked if we could upgrade to a Seaview room, best thing we did. The room is very spacious, the bed is huge and comfortable as are the pillows. The bathroom is big, modern, with a big walk in shower, and a endless supply of hot water. The terrace was overlooking the bay of Sliema, where you sit, watch the world go by, with a drink of choice. Once the patio door is closed, you don't hear sny noise from the bar. Breakfast is served buffet style in the bar on the ground floor, you have more than enough choice to choose from, and plentiful, from 7:30 until 10:30. The girls working the restaurant are friendly and helpful. They show sport on the bars TVs, and English football, and a great pint of Guinness. I could go on and on about Malta, but if uou do decide on a holiday, stay in this hotel, and try to book a Seaview room, it's worth it.

We stayed 6 nights in August in Standard Room of The Londoner Hotel Sliema. It was high summer season 36+ C. outside. The air-condition worked very well although the balcony sliding door of our room had a problem with its automatic shutted-down when the door wasn't closed at the right angle but hotel receptions always reacted fast. There were hot water kettle, coffee & tea in the room which was nice. The room had enough space, balcony over looking neighbor building. Breakfast buffet had everything for everyone. It served in the restaurant next to the hotel entrance (same name of the hotel). The hotel itself had no swimming pool but free entrance ticket for Med Asia Playa pools (about 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes with a bus from hotel) helped cool the heat down. It was nice pool next to the beach.

We stayed in room 301. The room was spacious because it was designed to accommodate also people with wheelchairs. The view to the see was very good, but I suppose if we were higher it would be much better. We stayed at Sliema since I was running the Malta Marathon, and I wanted to be close to the finish line. The room was very clean. The location is nice also. Close to St. Julian (30-40min walk) and for Valetta you may use the Ferry instead of the bus since Malta has a lot of traffic.

The Hotel is very modern and well designed. The room is very spacious and clean. The city view was also great. The staff at the front desk and also in the breakfast area were amazing (thanks Jose for all the information and tips about the city). The room is fitted with universal plugs for your electronics and every USB type on the night tables. The breakfast is good.
